Season 2, Episode 17 | Originally aired on August 24, 2020
About the episode
"I think there's a certain obligation to design clothes that really serve women: that accentuate their feminine genius and their divine design."
From the moment she saw models walking down the runway on the TV, Sabina Kasprzak knew that she wanted to design clothes as well. But after a change in plans and even a break from designing, Sabina never would have thought that she would be designing beautiful dresses and gowns for women. In fact, she's seen her designs come alive and is always moved by how a dress can enhance a woman's inherent beauty. In this episode, Sabina and I talk about her faith and fashion journey, the importance of modesty in our clothing choices, and how a change in plans ultimate led Sabina to launch her own brand, House of Ladey.

Meet Sabina Kasprzak
Sabina Kasprzak was born in Vancouver, BC. At the age of eight, she moved to Poland, where she discovered and fell in love with the world of high-end European fashion after encountering a couture fashion show on TV. She was mesmerized by the beauty and grace of the creations floating down the runway and knew from that point on that she wanted to create that particular kind of beauty when she grew up. Ever since, a significant part of her heart and life has been dedicated to design.
At 17 she moved back to Canada, and following high school pursued a Fashion Design Diploma at the University of the Fraser Valley. In her graduating year of the program, Sabina qualified as a finalist in the Smirnoff Fashion Awards International Competition in Toronto, and later that year, received the Most Creative Designer of the Year Award for her graduation collection—Style of Edge. After graduation, she took a detour from fashion, and earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communication at Trinity Western University.
Since then, she has qualified as a semi-finalist in the Oskary Fashion Awards Competition in Warsaw (Poland) in 2005 and 2009. Sabina was also selected as a semi-finalist in the casting for the Amazon Prime 'Making the Cut' series in 2019.
Sabina presently works full time in a marketing profession, and in her spare time, keeps her passion for cultivating beauty in fashion alive, by creating custom designs for private clients. She specializes in high-end ladies’ wear, and considers meticulous attention to detail, the pursuit of beauty, and a love for working with luxurious fabrics, a key element of her design aesthetic. Her goal in every dress she creates is to instill confidence, evoke beauty, convey strength and reconfirm women in their inherent value, dignity and purpose.
